New to the fleet - Volvo XXL Globetrotter

Back in 2007, Peter Taylor of LCL Heavy Haulage ordered the first original Volvo FH XXL Cab in South Australia whilst on a trip to Sweden with Volvo and he proudly took delivery of the unit in 2008. With the XXL's big bunk and 660hp underneath, this truck clocked up many kilometres across Australia with Peter behind the wheel. Just last year Peter took this truck off the road and gave it a complete makeover. The photo shows how good a job Peter did - a credit to all involved.
Fast forward to 2019 and Peter once again was the first person in South Australia to order the new XXL Globetrotter, which was released in October. This also meant that he took delivery of the first one in Adelaide! Thanks to the new XXL being on the market again and Peter seeing his vehicles travel a lot more interstate, this was the ideal unit for those long trips moving equipment around Australia.
As well as the large cab, Peter's XXL has the powerful 16-litre 700hp engine coupled with the crawler gear and Multi Speed Reverse option, which is available with the ever popular I-Shift Transmission. When operating as a low loader set up, this crawler gear makes light work of those tough situations when needing to conduct tight manoeuvring and negotiating certain gradients.
Peter is well known and respected in the heavy haulage industry and takes pride in his equipment. This new truck is set up with all the mod cons and driver comfort has not been spared. With the XXL cab, Full Safety Package, remote air con and TV, this truck is ready to go anywhere required.
